Young Lithuanian Soprano Lirico Spinto MARIA LOBANOVA, since 2016/17 Member of the ensemble at Bolshoi Theater Moscow, enchants the public and thrills the press with the "warm, dark voice", her "incredible intense acting" and her "musically and emotionally intelligence".

At the Bolshoi, she has performed so far the parts of KATERINA ISMAILOVA in Shostakovich's same named opera; LIZA in Chaikovsky's "Queen of Spades"; NASTASSYA FILIPPOVNA in Weinberger's "The Idiot"; KUPAVA in Rimsky-Korsakov's "Snow Maiden"; THE FOREIGN PRINCESS in Dvorak's "Rusalka", as well  as SENTA in Wagner's "The Flying Dutchman" in stage direction of Peter Konwitschny; and in 2021, she gave a stung debut as Puccini's TOSCA.


In addition, she sang numerous concerts, including a GALA-Concert of Wagner's "Walküre", alongside Placido Domingo, a New Years Concert in Istanbul, and recently, Beethoven's IX Symphony and a New Year's Concert with Italian and Russian repertoire together with the Harbin Symphony Orchestra in the Harbin Hall / China.

Next to the already mentioned parts, Maria Lobanova's repertoire includes als TATJANA in Chaikowsky’s “Eugen Onegin”; TAMARA in Rubinstein’s “Demon”; MILITRISA in Rimsky-Korsakov’s “Skashka o Care Zaltane” and RUSALKA und PANNOCHKA in his “Majskaja Noc”; LA FEMME in Milhaud’s “Le Pauvre Matelot” and MASHA in Schostakovitsch’s comic opera “Moskowskie Cheryomushki”; which she all performed at the Stanislawsky-Nemirovitsch-Danchenko-Theatre in Moskau.

A further guest-commitment brought her to the Pfalztheater Kaiserslautern (Germany), celebrating an overwhelming success as MARIA in Richard Strauss “Friedenstag”.

Oratoria- and Opera-Gala-Concerts led her with works by Bellini, Borodin, Haydn, Honegger, Giordano, Mascagni, Monteverdi, Mozart, Puccini, R. Strauss, Tschaikowsky, Verdi, and Wagner, singing excerpts of SENTA, ELSA, LISA, YAROSLAVNA, LEONORA, LADY MACBETH, CIO-CIO SAN, DONNA ELVIRA, VITELLIA, MADDALENA and ARIADNE among others to the Moldavian Theatre, the International Music Festival in Khabarosk Theatre; and with the Young Artists Program of Bolschoi to the Russian Embassy in Berlin.
With the program “La Passione d’Amore” she guested at the Saratow Opera Theatre Omsk, and with “The Organ Concert Program” at the Moscow Pushkin Museum of Art; 
and the New Years's concert "New Year, New Hope" with the Bosporus Sinfonietta brought her to the Zorlu Performing Arts Center Istanbul.


Mrs. Lobanova had the pleasure to work with such renowned conductors as Eugeny Brazhnik, Wolf Gorelik, Yuri Konchnev, Felix Korobov, Uwe Sandner, Pavel Sorokin, Caludio Vandelli, Peter Konwitschny, Anatoly Ledukhpvsky, Alexander Titel, Gennady Trostyanetsky or Kerstin Maria Köhler.


After earning a diploma in piano from the Moscow State Ippolitov-Ivanov Pedagogical Music Institute, Vilnius born Maria. Lobanova studied opera singing at the Moscow State Institute of Culture and Arts.


Her teachers and coaches at the State Institute and in Masterclasses were Irina Bogacheva, Fiorenza Cosotto, Inga Kalna, Sergey Leiferkus, Svetlana & Yevgeny Nesterenki, Irina Obraztsova, Luba Orfenova, Valddislav Ospipov, Valdislav Piatvko, Wieland Satter, Dimitry Vdovin, Daborah York, Diane Zola, as well as the internationally renowned Munich teacher Prof.  Loibl in Munich.

Maria Lobanova is 2. Prize-Winner at the "XXII Sobinov Music Festival International Competition", the 3. Prize-Winner at the "Romansiada International Vocal Competition", and 2015 she was a Finalist at the "Richard Wagner Competition" in Karlsruhe, with among others, Eva Wagner and Dame Gwyneth Jones in the Jury.
